Edmonton SEO company · Owner-led · Serving all of Canada

The Edmonton SEO company that gets you found, and gets you called.

Owner-led SEO services built in Edmonton, for Alberta businesses and clients across Canada. We do the technical SEO, the site architecture and the content ourselves, then measure the calls, forms and sales that follow. Most SEO stops at traffic. Ours doesn’t, and every number carries its source and its date.

The website is included. If your current site can’t rank, we build and host a custom one as part of the engagement, not a separate five-figure invoice. See what that costs.

How to tell whether SEO is worth paying for.

Three things that have to be true

People are already searching
Demand has to exist before SEO can capture it. Check Search Console for the queries you already show up for, or Keyword Planner for the ones you don’t. If nobody is typing it, ads and outreach will beat SEO every time.
One extra customer covers the work
At $1,500 a month, a single roofing job, HVAC install or B2B contract usually pays for the retainer. Work out what a closed customer is worth to you first. If that number is small and the volume is low, the maths rarely clears.
The website can actually change
Page structure, internal links, speed and templates are most of what decides rankings. If nobody is allowed to touch the site, the work stalls at recommendations.

Three times we say don’t

You want rankings guaranteed
Nobody controls Google’s index. Position moves with competitors, updates and the searcher themselves. Anyone promising a position is selling you something they cannot deliver.
You need it to work this month
Re-crawling and re-indexing a changed site alone takes weeks. On Coastal Craft the first 28 days produced 59 clicks; the window four months later produced 239. Six months is the honest minimum before you can judge it.
The demand is not there yet
A brand-new category or product often has no search volume behind it. SEO cannot create demand that does not exist, and we will say so before you sign rather than after.

Selected client work

Five months of ongoing SEO, and they hired another crew to keep up.

Coastal Craft Roofing was invisible across Edmonton, Calgary and Central Alberta. Technical SEO, a real site architecture, a page for every service and city, and content built for how roofing customers actually search. Here is the latest 28 days, with its sources and its limits.

Most SEO fails on a website
the SEO company can’t touch.

Structure, page templates, internal linking, speed, content. Most of what decides whether you rank is built into the website itself. So when one company sells you SEO and a different company controls the site, the people accountable for your rankings have to ask permission to change the thing that determines them. That is where most SEO budgets quietly disappear, and it is the reason we build the website too.

Ongoing SEO services

SEO services that do the work, not just the audit.

Plenty of SEO agencies hand you a list of things somebody should fix. We are the ones who fix them: technical SEO, local SEO, site architecture, content and link building, done in-house and reported against the leads they produced.

  1. 01

Keyword research that separates buyers from browsers

“Emergency roof repair Edmonton” and “how long do shingles last” are different jobs. One books work this week, the other is someone reading. We map every target to the single page that should win it, so your own pages stop competing with each other for the same search.

  2. 02

Technical SEO, because it sets the ceiling

Crawling, indexing, speed and architecture cap everything else you do. On Coastal Craft that meant rebuilding the render path and image handling: mobile performance went from 60 to 96 and mobile LCP from 9.2 seconds to 1.7. Google will not reward a page it struggles to load.

Lighthouse lab tests, March 5 vs March 24, 2026. Lab results vary by run and device.

  3. 03

Content and internal linking that earn the coverage

Pages that answer the actual question behind the search, linked so Google can see how they relate. Coastal went from one page competing for everything to a page for each service and each city, and from 208 recorded queries in its first month to more than 1,000.

Google Search Console, Apr 1 to Aug 19, 2026. Google caps the query export at 1,000 rows, so the later figure is a known minimum.

  4. 04

Measurement that follows the money, not the graph

Most reporting stops at rankings because rankings always look good. We track which searches produce calls and forms in GA4, label each one for what it actually is, and spend the next month where the leads already are.

We also provide standalone web design, Google Ads management and paid social advertising.

Investment

SEO pricing, on the page. No quote required.

$1,500/month + GSTWebsite includedCovers up to 50 tracked organic leads a month, then $30 per lead. Complete the six-month term and the website is yours, free.

$1,500 a month, website built in. The same price whether you sell in one city or ten. It rises only when the system is producing leads, at $30 each, so the number goes up because the work is working.

SEO is won in months, not days. Early signals show up sooner, but judging it properly takes enough time to build, index and measure the work. We sell no guaranteed rankings and no fixed timelines. If we don’t think the investment will pay you back, we say so before you sign.

Chris McCormack, owner and SEO lead at YEG Web Solutions

Owner-led

The person who scopes the work is the person who does it.

At most agencies you are sold by a strategist and delivered by whoever has capacity that month. Here Chris McCormack scopes the job, writes the pages, does the technical work and builds the report. That is the entire team, which is why the plan and the build never drift apart, and why you can ask why a decision was made and get the reasoning rather than a status update.

It cuts both ways. One person can only run a handful of retainers properly, so when the calendar is full we say so instead of hiring around it.

No obligation. The findings are yours to keep.

Free SEO audit

A free SEO audit that tells you what’s actually holding you back.

Chris goes through the site himself and sends back four things: the crawling and indexing problems stopping pages from ranking at all, the searches you should own but currently do not, what your speed and Core Web Vitals are costing you, and where competitors are beating you on structure. Fixes come in the order worth doing them, with what you can do yourself marked. No score out of 100 from a tool, no pitch deck. You keep it whether you hire us or hand it to somebody else.

SEO FAQs

The questions worth asking any SEO company before you sign.

What does ongoing SEO include?

Ongoing SEO combines research, technical improvement, site architecture, on-page work, original content, internal linking, local SEO, authority development and measurement. The exact mix follows the opportunities and constraints identified for the business.

How long does SEO take?

SEO is measured in months. Timing depends on the starting condition, competition, implementation speed, website history and target market.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No. No SEO company controls Google’s rankings. We commit to clear priorities, completed implementation and transparent reporting.

Do I need a new website?

Only when the current platform, structure or performance blocks the strategy. We retain capable websites and rebuild when the evidence supports the investment.

Do you work outside Edmonton?

Yes. YEG was founded in Edmonton and serves businesses across Canada.

How is SEO pricing determined?

We price each engagement from the website’s condition, competition, target markets, content requirements, implementation scope and measurement needs.

Do you implement the SEO work or only provide recommendations?

We implement the work. Ongoing engagements include the agreed technical, structural and content changes, not a report that leaves execution with the client. A standalone SEO audit is free, and strategy is available as a standalone scope.

What happens to an included website if the SEO engagement ends?

You own the website once the six-month term is complete, free, no buyout. Ownership, hosting, cancellation and handoff terms are all agreed in writing before work begins, not assumed or hidden inside a generic offer.
